A new survey reveals that almost half of Americans have forgotten to cancel a trial subscription, leading to an average spend of around $1,000 a year on subscription services. The survey also found 48% of respondents said they had signed up for a free trial and then forgot to cancel it, with Millennials and Gen Z adults being the most forgetful. New rules from the Federal Trade Commission should help reduce this issue.
