Apple has officially contacted the California DMV to request cancelation of its Autonomous Vehicles Program Manufacturer's Testing Permit, effective September 27th. This news comes around 8 months after Apple officially canceled their Apple Car project internally.

Apple has officially requested the cancelation of its Autonomous Vehicles Program Manufacturer’s Testing Permit in California, which was set to expire in April 2025. This follows the internal cancellation of the Apple Car project earlier this year. The permit cancelation is one of the most significant external signs that the project is no longer active.
