Apple Pencil May Double as TV Antenna in Future iPads

Apple has submitted a patent application for a future Apple Pencil that can act as a TV antenna, allowing users to receive broadcast signals even when there is no internet connection. The Apple Pencil would receive the signal and wirelessly communicate the content to a nearby device such as an iPad, and would be able to receive Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) and 5G broadcast protocols. This would allow users to watch broadcast TV on their device without the need for a separate antenna or internet connection. Apple's reasoning for this feature is to provide a convenient way for users to access broadcast TV when cellular or internet connections are unavailable. The patent application does not provide specific technical details on how the feature would work.
