Apple has released a new developer beta firmware for AirPods Pro 2 ahead of the public release of iOS 18.1 in October. The update brings the software to build number 7B5013d and is only compatible with AirPods Pro 2, both USB-C and Lightning versions. The hearing aid functionality, previously announced at Apple's 'Glowtime' event in June 2024, will include new features. Users with registered developer accounts can download and install beta firmware updates through Developer Mode on their devices.
