Apple Unleashes iOS 18.4 Beta 1 with Enhanced Apple Intelligence for Global Users

Apple Releases iOS 18.4 Beta 1 for Developers
Apple has released the first beta of iOS 18.4 to developer testers, alongside iPadOS 18.4 and macOS Sequoia 15.4, which are set to be available in April. The update focuses on expanding Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system that aims to provide relevant and helpful information. New languages supported include French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified), as well as localized English for Singapore and India.
Key features of the upcoming Apple Intelligence include:
- On-screen Awareness: Siri will be able to understand and interact with content on your screen, such as adding a new address to a contact card from a text message.
- Personal Context: Siri will help users find specific information based on their personal context, such as locating a recipe shared in a note or email without compromising privacy.
- In-app Actions: Users can perform actions across multiple apps using Siri, like sending an email or enhancing and sharing photos.
However, Bloomberg reports that Apple is facing development delays with these features, and it's unclear if they will be fully available in the first beta. Apple has stated that more capabilities for Siri will be added in the coming months.
The full release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 is expected in April.
