Apple's Car Key Ambitions and Growing List of Partners

Apple is working with over 30 car manufacturers to create digital car keys in Apple Wallet. This technology may someday enable contactless car rentals, where a car rental company issues a digital key that can be used to unlock and use a car. Jennifer Bailey, VP of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, shared this information during an interview but did not give more details about when this future use case might become reality.
