Apple's Cheaper Vision Headset Expected to Cost Around $2000, Eyesight Feature May Be Dropped

According to the latest edition of Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, Apple is still on track to launch the lower end Apple Vision headset as early as next year, costing around $2000. The cheaper headset will probably use an inferior processor and cheaper materials compared to the M2 chip and aluminum/glass construction used on Vision Pro. It's likely to see a switch to a cheaper A series chipset on the new model. The report also says that it'll drop the EyeSight feature which uses lenticular displays to pass through the users eyes to the outside of the headset, allowing people around them to still 'see' their eyes.
