Apple's Chief People Officer Departs After Less Than Two Years, Another Executive Shake-up Looms
Bloomberg reports that Carol Surface, Apple's Chief People Officer, is leaving the company after less than two years
Carol Surface, Apple's first-ever Chief People Officer, is departing the company less than two years after joining in March 2023. Surface reported directly to CEO Tim Cook and was responsible for talent development, recruiting, employee relations and experience, benefits, compensation, and inclusion and diversity. Deirdre O'Brien, a 30-year Apple veteran who previously handled human resources duties, will return to overseeing both the retail and people teams at Apple.
