Apple's Head of Accessibility Discusses the Role of AI in Helping People with Disabilities

AI is helping people with disabilities utilize technology more effectively and independently, according to Apple's global head of accessibility, Sarah Herrlinger. Speaking at the Web Summit Lisbon in Portugal this week, she highlighted that artificial intelligence can significantly improve users' lives by implementing features like Eye Tracking, Sound Recognition, and AssistiveTouch on the Apple Watch, enabling people with disabilities to control their devices using only their eyes or hand gestures. In addition, advances coming to Siri with Apple Intelligence will make it easier for users to operate their devices hands-free.
