Apple's M4 Max chip has been revealed, featuring a 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU, and a 35% increase in memory bandwidth compared to its predecessor, the M3 Max. This chip is available in Apple's new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, with the base configuration offering 14 CPU cores and 32 GPU cores, while an upgraded model includes the full 16-core CPU and 40-core GPU for an additional $300. The M4 Max also supports Thunderbolt 5 for high-speed peripheral communication.
