Apple's Upcoming iOS 18.2 Beta Release Set to Include Image Playground and Genmoji Features

Apple's AI image generation features, Image Playground and Genmoji, are reportedly set to debut in the iOS 18.2 beta release later this year.

According to Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, Apple is set to release its image generation features, including Image Playground and Genmoji, in iOS 18.2 later this year. The first beta is expected to ship in October, with the final release scheduled for December. Image Playground will allow users to generate creative AI images in three styles: Animation, Illustration, and Sketch. Genmoji will enable users to create custom emojis based on prompts and use them inline with their text. Apple Intelligence features require an iPhone 15 Pro or later, or any iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or later.
