Bluesky, the microblogging platform that has grown to over 13 million users in the last year, is developing a paid subscription tier with exclusive features. The new tier will offer higher quality video uploads and profile customizations, while ensuring the basic platform remains free to use. Bluesky was originally founded as part of a decentralized initiative funded by Twitter, but has since become independent and sees X (formerly Twitter) as its main competitor.
