Chinese hack of US ISPs shows why Apple is right about backdoors for law enforcement

It was revealed that Chinese hackers accessed systems run by three of the largest internet service providers (ISPs) in the US, compromising security backdoors deliberately created for wiretaps by US law enforcement. The WSJ first reported on the successful penetration of wiretap systems at AT&T, Lumen (CenturyLink), and Verizon. There are indications that China's foreign spy service is involved, but China denies any involvement. This event supports Apple's stance against creating backdoors for law enforcement in iPhones, as it shows once a backdoor is created, hackers can exploit it.
