EV Play Launches: Transform Your Rivian with CarPlay and a Universe of Apps

A new aftermarket device called EV Play is set to transform Rivian's infotainment system by adding CarPlay, Android Auto, and a host of streaming apps with a quick 25-minute DIY installation.

A new accessory called EV Play is set to bring CarPlay and a variety of other apps to Rivian vehicles, which currently do not support the popular infotainment system. Developed as an Android-based device, EV Play promises to offer both wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additionally, it supports numerous streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Google Maps, Waze, and even gaming applications like Call of Duty and Roblox. The installation process is said to be straightforward, taking around 25 minutes. While details on pricing and the exact mechanism of integration are not yet available, interested consumers can sign up for updates via the EV Play newsletter. This development reflects a strong consumer demand for CarPlay, evident from similar aftermarket solutions available for other brands like Tesla and GM.
