Google Ditches Gemini from Main iOS App, Redirects Users to Dedicated Gemini Application

Google is discontinuing support for Gemini within the main Google app on iOS, directing users to download the standalone Gemini app instead. This move comes as Google has been focusing on developing a richer and more feature-complete experience in the full Gemini app, which includes features like Gemini Live that are not available in the Google app. Users have already started receiving notifications via email and an in-app pop-up, informing them of the changes and encouraging them to download the Gemini app from the App Store for continued access.
