Google’s Find My Device Update Introduces ‘People’ for Smarter Location Sharing

New Design Features:
- Split-Screen View: The 'Devices' tab now features a split-screen layout with a map at the top and a list of devices below.
- Smaller Icons: Device icons are smaller, making it easier to see more devices at once.
- Family Filters: If you have Family devices, additional filter chips will be available.
- Profile Menu: A pull tab in the top-right corner allows users to switch accounts, sign in as a guest, manage blocked users, and adjust location sharing settings.
People Tab:
- Location Sharing: The new 'People' tab (in Beta) lets you share your location and see the locations of family and friends.
- Filter Options: Users can filter by 'Sharing with you' or 'You’re sharing with.'
- Floating Action Button (FAB): A FAB in the bottom-right corner of the map helps users start sharing their location.
- Duration Picker: When sharing, users can choose from several duration options: 1 hour, Today only, Until you turn this off, and Custom duration.
- Location Permissions: Users need to grant app location permissions to display a blue dot on the map and calculate distances.
Availability: The update (version 3.1.277-4) is rolling out via Google Play today.
