Hidden Gems in iOS 18.2: Controlling Your iPhone's Volume Like a Pro

iOS 18.2 Adds Two Hidden Tools for Controlling Your iPhone's Volume
iOS 18.2 introduces two new hidden tools in the Settings app to help users manage their iPhone's volume settings.
#1: Restoring Volume Slider on Lock Screen
Prior to iOS 16, users could easily adjust audio playback volume using a dedicated slider on the Lock Screen. In iOS 18.2, this feature can be restored by going to Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual
, then toggling the "Always Show Volume Control" setting on.
#2: Limiting Maximum Volume
To limit the maximum volume of your iPhone's built-in speaker:
- Go to
Settings > Sounds & Haptics
- Navigate to
'Volume Limit'
under `'Built-in Speaker' - Set a desired maximum volume level between 20% and 90% of standard volume.
This does not affect phone calls, FaceTime calls, emergency calls/alerts, ringtones, alarms, system sounds, or Find My sounds.
By using these new tools in iOS 18.2, users can customize their audio experience on the iPhone based on personal preferences and needs.
