iOS 18.2 Updates: Faster Messaging for Siri and ChatGPT with Type to Siri Control
Type to Siri is a convenient new messaging mode that allows users to send messages to Siri or ChatGPT by double-tapping the bar at the bottom of their iPhone's display. This feature has been introduced in iOS 18.2, making sending messages to these AI assistants faster and more efficient than ever before.
iOS 18.2 added a faster way to message Siri and ChatGPT. The Type to Siri control can now be assigned to the iPhone's Action Button, providing quick access to messaging mode for both AI assistants. This is an improvement over previous methods of enabling typing mode via the Accessibility settings, which made voice interactions more challenging. Users can also set up text replacements to quickly enter prefixes like 'ask ChatGPT'.
