M4 Mac mini Features Modular SSD Storage and Faster Base Model Speeds

The new M4 Mac mini has been found to feature a removable SSD, however, this does not mean that the SSD is user-upgradeable as the device likely only recognises the factory-installed combination of SSDs. In good news for users though, the base 256GB model of the M4 Mac Mini appears to utilise two 128GB storage modules rather than a single 256GB module, which will provide faster read and write speeds, addressing one of the primary complaints about its predecessor.
Additionally, Apple is rumoured to be considering selling authorized SSD upgrades for the device in future, though this has not yet eventuated. The M4 Mac mini is available starting today, alongside new models of the MacBook Pro and iMac.
