Mozi: The New Social Media App Focused on Real-Life Connections

Created by Twitter co-founder Ev Williams, Mozi is a new social media app that focuses on connecting people in real life, rather than replacing existing platforms or bombarding users with content.

A new social media app called Mozi has been created by Twitter co-founder Ev Williams. Unlike other apps that aim to replace existing platforms like Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, Mozi does not try to be a replacement, but instead focuses on one specific aspect of what Williams sees as the original purpose of social networking. He believes that those networks have dropped their 'social' part over time and turned into mere media.

Mozi’s main function is to let users know when they are going to be in the same place (city or event) as someone they know, with the goal to connect more often—and in person—with people they care about. The app uses end-to-end encryption for privacy, so only mutual contacts can see location and planned location information.

The Mozi app is currently available for iOS devices only and supports Sign In With Apple.
