iOS 18.2 introduces Share Item Location, a new feature for AirTag that makes finding lost items easier by creating a shareable link with the item's real-time location.

iOS 18.2 introduces a new feature called Share Item Location for AirTag and other compatible items in the Find My app. This temporary sharing option is designed to help users find lost items more easily by creating a shareable link containing a map of the item's real-time location. The feature is especially handy for tracking down lost luggage, with over 15 airlines committed to offer support soon. Users should be aware that the recipient of the shared link will be able to see the item’s serial number and the user’s Apple Account email or phone number.
