The iPod, once a ubiquitous device that revolutionized portable music players, has now vanished into history. However, its influence on Apple, music, and the world remains significant even 23 years after its launch on October 23, 2001. Before the introduction of the iPhone, it was difficult to imagine life without an iPod, and they were in widespread use. Despite taking a long time for the device to gain popularity, it had a strong dominance which ultimately led to its demise by Apple's own iPhone. Although the last iPod Touch was discontinued in May 2022, its legacy endures.
