Thunderbird for Android email client arrives in beta

Mozilla's Thunderbird email client has finally arrived on Android in its first beta release, over two years after it was confirmed for development. A team of volunteers have been working on the app, which allows users to transfer their accounts from K-9 Mail without requiring logins or complicated setup processes.
The app will eventually allow users to transfer information from Thunderbird Desktop to mobile devices in a later build. Other features include push notifications for new messages, organizing messages into folders, and standard email actions like replying and forwarding.
Thunderbird for Android's beta test is relatively short, with the first release candidate due in mid-October and final release at the end of October.
