Unleash Your Memories: A Closer Look at iOS 18's Transformative Photos App Redesign

The all-new Photos app in iOS 18 features a customizable interface, making it easier to find and relive special moments

iOS 18 features an all-new Photos app that has been redesigned from the ground up, with a focus on making it easier for users to "find and relive special moments." The new Photos design is completely customizable, allowing users to pick and choose the specific order of various options in the Collections array at the bottom of the interface. Customization can be done by opening the Photos app, scrolling all the way down, and tapping "Customize & Reorder." Apple has made it easier to hide screenshots in iOS 18 as well; this feature is accessed by opening the Photos app, swiping up to view the full photo grid, tapping the arrows in the bottom-left corner, tapping "View Options," and then unchecking "Screenshots" under the "Show" menu. Overall, the new Photos app in iOS 18 aims to help users better keep track of their most important memories, amid an increasing number of photos taken daily.
