In 1999, Steve Jobs unveiled Connectix's Virtual Game Station (VGS) on stage at Macworld Expo. VGS was the first PlayStation emulator capable of running games at full speed for any platform. Apple promoted it as part of their strategy to have the best gaming machine in the world. But Sony filed a lawsuit against Connectix for copyright infringement, which Connectix won.
