Whoop fitness tracker now counts steps, updates rolling out today

Whoop, a leading fitness-tracking band, has announced the addition of step counting to its suite of tracking features. The company had previously avoided including step counting due to concerns about the accuracy of this measurement, but user demand and studies showing that daily steps are closely linked to reduced risks of certain illnesses prompted Whoop to add the feature. The update will begin rolling out to users on 10th October and will allow users to track their daily steps through the 'My Dashboard' section, offering trend insights over various time periods.
