Apple Podcasts has launched a new top chart for narrative series, making it easier for listeners to discover and explore captivating shows across multiple genres. The update includes a brand-new Series category, a Top Series chart featuring the top 100 series, and Series Essentials, which recognizes and celebrates one series each month, ad-free in its entirety.

Apple has announced changes to its Apple Podcasts app that are designed specifically to better spotlight narrative series podcasts.

A new top chart, referred to as the Top Series chart, will be updated continuously and features the top 100 series in an effort to assist users with discovering a wide range of narratives.

Further to this Apple is introducing a brand-new Series category specifically for the purpose of helping listeners explore and discover shows they might enjoy. Lastly Apple Podcasts editors are unveiling Series Essentials in which one series each month will be recognized and celebrated as defining the pinnacle of their genre. The first Series Essentials selection is an original limited Wondery and Pineapple Street Studios production called Ghost Story.
