AirPods 4 Teardown Reveals Unfixable Design, AirPods Max with USB-C Remains Easily Repairable
The teardown of the new AirPods shows it is still not repairable by end users, while the AirPods Max with USB-C are pretty much the same as the Lightning version it replaced.

The latest teardown of Apple's AirPods range reveals the AirPods 4 are still unrepairable by end users due to their construction methods. iFixit found that although some internal components differ between the ANC and non-ANC variants, both are impossible to repair, earning a score of zero out of ten for repairability. The Airpods Max with USB-C are largely unchanged from the previous Lightning version, maintaining the same repairability score of six out of ten.
