Apple Watch Ultra: The possible debut of microLED technology
Apple hasn't given up on Micro LED technology, according to new rumors saying it's preparing for mass production in 2026 for AR glasses and planning the inclusion of the displays in the Apple Watch Ultra.

Despite previous claims that Apple had abandoned microLED technology in future products, a new report indicates that it is still being planned for use in devices such as the Watch Ultra (Series 3, due in 2026) and a rumored follow-up device to the Apple Vision Pro. Apple's long-rumored AR glasses are also expected to enter mass production with microLED screens sometime in 2026.
