Apple's Upcoming Smart Display Products with HomeOS

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reveals that Apple is working on two versions of a HomePod with display, including a high-end model with a robotic arm, both set to launch next year with homeOS and Apple Intelligence support.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple is planning to launch two versions of a HomePod with a display next year, running on a new operating system called homeOS. The lower-end device (codename J490) and the higher-end device with robotic arm and larger display (codename J595) will support Apple Intelligence. The new OS might just be branding as Gurman mentions that tvOS will serve as the basis for homeOS, but they ultimately expect the two platforms to combine.
