Boox Note Air 3 C: A Vibrant Reading Experience at iPad Prices

The Boox Note Air 3 C offers an outstanding color e-ink reading experience with impressive battery life, though it comes at a steep price and has some noticeable limitations.

The Boox Note Air 3 C is a color e-ink tablet that bridges the gap between an e-book reader and a traditional tablet. Priced at $499, it boasts a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 Carta 1200 glass ePaper screen with 4,096 hues of color, offering a resolution of 2,480 by 1,860 pixels in black and white and 1,240 by 930 pixels in color. The device is powered by a 2.4 GHz Octa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage (expandable via microSD). Key features include a touch-sensitive screen, a pressure-sensitive stylus, fingerprint recognition, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and excellent battery life lasting up to a week. However, it runs an outdated Android 12 OS, has poor audio quality, and is not intended as an iPad competitor. The Boox Note Air 3 C excels in providing a high-quality reading experience with extensive format support, but its high price point may be a deterrent for some users.
