Boox Palma Review: A Pocket-Sized E Reader with Impressive Performance

The Boox Palma is a phone-sized E Paper device that offers all of the benefits of an ink-like display in a compact form factor. It has a 6.13-inch HD Carta 1200 e-paper screen and runs on Android 11 with access to the Google Play Store. The device is capable of reading books, browsing the web, running various apps and even being used as a dedicated music player. It comes equipped with a Qualcomm octa-core processor and 6GB RAM. The battery life is exceptional due to its 3,950mAh capacity which can last for days or weeksdepending on usage.
However, the device's e-paper display refreshes slowly especially when set at higher settings to show more detail - this can make it challenging to use it at speeds one might be used to with a conventional phone or tablet. Yet if one adjusts their expectations and embraces its slower operation the Palma proves to be an excellent portable readingdevice.
