Upgrade Your Old AirPods with This Clever USB-C Accessory

Engineer Ken Pillonel has developed a USB-C case for older AirPods models with Lightning ports, allowing users to upgrade their charging case without buying new headphones. The case works by having the original AirPods case fit inside the USB-C case, which then transmits power through a built-in adapter. The USB-C case is available for AirPods 1, 2, 3, and the original AirPods Pro, and costs around $40. Pillonel also created a small USB-C adapter for AirPods Max owners who want to upgrade their headphones without purchasing the revised USB-C models.
