Waymo announced a strategic partnership with Hyundai Motor Company, starting with the all-electric IONIQ 5 SUV, which will be Waymo's next robotaxi. The companies are working to integrate Waymo’s latest hardware and sensor suite into the vehicles, which will have specific autonomous-ready modifications like redundant hardware and power doors.

passengers can expect a well-appointed interior with plenty of legroom, headroom, and cargo space. These vehicles will be built in Georgia and then integrated with the self-driving technology.
