Huawei's Final Android Farewell with Mate 70 and X6 Debuts

Huawei's new Mate 70 series and foldable Mate X6 smartphones will be the last from the company to run Android, as it moves to 'HarmonyOS Next.' The platform no longer supports Android apps, with over 10,000 apps said to be ready for it already. It was revealed that Huawei had fully transitioned away from Android in HarmonyOS Next, its new operating system. However, unlike some reports have suggested, the Mate 70 and Mate X6 aren't shipping with the new OS just yet — they will still run on HarmonyOS 4 but with a future update to the Android-free version planned.
