Google Maps Surpasses 2 Billion Monthly Users, Joining Elite List of Google Products

Google Maps now has over 2 billion monthly users, joining other Google products like Search, Gmail, Android, Chrome, Play Store, and YouTube in surpassing this milestone.

During Alphabet's Q3 2024 earnings call, CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Google Maps has surpassed the 2 billion monthly user milestone. This adds to the list of six other products from Google that have over 2 billion users, including Search, Gmail, Android, Chrome, Play Store, and YouTube, all of which use Gemini models. Pichai also shared that a quarter of new code at Google is now generated by AI and reviewed by engineers, and that Gemini API calls have grown nearly 14x in six months. Additionally, Circle to Search is available on over 150 million Android devices, Lens sees over 20 billion visual searches per month, YouTube's ad and subscription revenue surpassed $50 billion for the first time, and Waymo has served over 150,000 paid rides.
